Desiree Mendoza

Desiree Mendoza is a watercolour and ink artist whose work reflects a deep appreciation for the beauty and vitality of nature. A self-taught artist with over 25 years of experience in communications, marketing, and administration, she has always been drawn to creative expression -exploring crafting, lettering, drawing, and even creative movement throughout her life. 

Her journey with watercolour began in 2018 when the medium’s transparency, fluidity, and expressive character immediately resonated with her. Since then, watercolour and ink have become Desiree’s primary tools allowing intuition, movement, and colour to guide her process. Her practice focuses on imaginative, nature-inspired florals that blend texture, energy, and organic forms to evoke a sense of life and breath. 

As a seasonal art instructor, Desiree enjoys sharing her love for watercolour with others. In 2023, her exhibition Peaceful Reflections showcased her works which captured the natural beauty of flowers and nature in general, offering viewers a quiet space for reflection.
