Desiree Mendoza

Desiree Mendoza is a watercolour and ink artist whose work is rooted in a deep appreciation for the beauty of nature. A self-taught artist, she is drawn to the fluidity and transparency of her mediums, allowing intuition, movement, and expressive mark-making to guide her creative process. Her practice centres on imaginative, nature-inspired florals, where colour, texture, and organic forms come together to evoke a sense of life and breath.

Working primarily in watercolour and ink, Desiree continues to experiment and explore the evolving possibilities of her medium, embracing both spontaneity and refinement.

As an instructor at the Forum Art Centre, Desiree enjoys teaching and sharing her love for watercolour, encouraging others to discover their own creative voice. In 2023, her exhibition Peaceful Reflections highlighted her ability to capture moments of stillness and natural beauty, offering viewers a space for calm and contemplation.
