Jace Richarde

Jace Richarde, a Winnipeg artist, began painting in his early 20’s, inspired by a plethora of Canadian artists. He began capturing wildlife and nature scenes using primarily acrylics and coloured pencil. Shortly after, he began selling in local shops and galleries.  In 2010, he moved to the Interlake, opened a studio, and joined The Wave art tour. In 2013, personal life changes resulted in a 10 year hiatus from painting. During this time he learned to create using precious metals. In 2023, he returned to painting and has begun to experiment with different subject matters and new ways of viewing old inspirations.

His current series features vignettes from Manitoba. Be it a captured moment enjoyed at a provincial park, a local street scene after the rain, or even the diverse flora and Fauna that abound. Rather than vast panorama’s scenes, he prefers to concentrate on the smaller view of what’s in front of him. Like snapshots in an album, all of his imagery ties together to tell the story of our great province in Manitoba.
