Brandi Shabaga
Brandi Shabaga is a mixed-media artist and earth scientist from Winnipeg, Manitoba. Her research has taken her across the globe – from the Canadian Arctic to the Gobi Desert – fueling her passion for adventure and supplying endless inspiration for her artwork.

David Colvin
Dave Colvin is an inveterate people-watcher. His fascination with aspects of the human condition has been a constant throughout his life… as an artist, playwright, parent, husband, and clinician.
Although geared toward a future in illustration art, his life took a decidedly different trajectory after high school, which ultimately led to a long and satisfying career in the behavioural health field. As such, he attempts to evoke human emotion through his work. Fleshing out these emotional memories is key to the examination of Colvin’s art.
Heather Gillespie
Heather Gillespie is a landscape artist residing in Winnipeg and is a Member of the Manitoba Society of Artists. She attended the University of Manitoba’s Fine Arts Program. She has studied fine art through the Symposium School of Art and continues to study through Mastrius. Heather also studied the business side of art through Creative Manitoba’s “Art of Managing Your Career” program.
Genevie Henderson
Genevie Henderson’s contemporary art is alchemy: different, unique, with multi-faceted dimensions. She has embraced a palette of impressionism, abstract, figurative, floral and cultural art rendered in acrylic, inks, mixed media and metallic elements. Her art is an extension of a feeling, moment or place she is experiencing in her own life; ever changing, evolving and transforming through the use of shapes, colours and her imagination.

Monika Hansen
Monika Hansen works in oils, acrylics or watercolours. Her subject matter captures a glimpse of the diversity of the Canadian rural and urban landscapes. The paintings generally appear uncluttered. Her love for simplicity is evident. She enjoys picking out the tiny details of a tree, or the delicate nature of the flowers found in the wild or in many backyards. Her current work focuses on her travels across Canada while camping.
Carson Samson
Carson Samson is a Winnipeg-based mixed media artist specializing in birds and wildlife. A graduate of the University of Manitoba School of Fine Arts (with honours). Carson blends traditional techniques with contemporary materials, working primarily in alcohol-based Copic markers and coloured pencils. Alongside his artistic practice, he brings over 25 years of experience in communications and marketing.
Desiree Mendoza
Desiree Mendoza is a watercolour and ink artist whose work is rooted in a deep appreciation for the beauty of nature. A self-taught artist, she is drawn to the fluidity and transparency of her mediums, allowing intuition, movement, and expressive mark-making to guide her creative process. Her practice centres on imaginative, nature-inspired florals, where colour, texture, and organic forms come together to evoke a sense of life and breath.
Brian Longfield
Over the years, Brian has exhibited video art, installations, and paintings, while also exploring performance, theatre, and avant-garde music. His acrylic paintings are created using original photographs and a data projector. His current work reflects an interest in biodiversity, ecology, science, and empathy.
